Getting to know N.J. Walters (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…flchen!
*~*~*

Hi! I’m N.J. Walters, and I’m thrilled to be in the Silver Soldiers: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology. This is not my first time in one of these amazing collections. I was also in the Stranded: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology, Blue Collar: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology, and First Response: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology.

I love being a part of a collection with other authors. What’s extra special is that these are contemporary romance stories, a departure from my usual paranormal romance books.

I started out writing erotic contemporary romance almost twenty years ago. After a couple of years, I began writing paranormal romance and that’s primarily what I’ve written for the past fifteen years, along with some sci-fi/futuristic romance. But I’ve never lost my love for contemporary romance. These anthologies allow me to indulge my love of them and stretch myself as a writer. Crafting a shorter piece like “This Time Forever,” my story for the Silver Soldiers Anthology, is a very different process from writing an 80K book.

As I said, I’ve spent almost two decades writing paranormal series. I have several werewolf series—Legacy series, Salvation Pack, and Salvation Pack: The Next Generation. I’ve dabbled in the realm of magic and more. I’ve written series where every shifter is different. My first was the Hades’ Carnival series. Then there’s my latest—The Forgotten Brotherhood.

Who are the Forgotten Brotherhood? They’re a group of paranormal assassins, the misfits other paranormal creatures fear. They aren’t the monsters lurking under the bed. They’re the ones that kill them.

They live by a strict code: Kill only those that truly deserve it and let their gods sort them out. Kill them before they kill you. Never, ever betray a fellow assassin.

This series has it all—fallen angel, bear, vampire, werewolf, dragon shifter, and an immortal Viking warrior. They all have one thing in common—they’re deadly loners who are about to meet women who will change their existence forever.

  1. I have read all books in this series and highly recommend reading them! NJ is a fantastic author. I’ve been reading her books for some time now. My favorite books to read are paranormal only. I’ve tried other geners but they just weren’t for me. Paranormal is my love!

  2. I like shifters, especially unique shifters or unique shifting worlds, and vampires. I’m pretty open to trying all kinds of paranormal stories.

  3. Paranormal shifters and regular, I am not picky. I like getting to know each character.

  4. Definitely check out her series! Love her writing! She can’t write fast enough!😄😄😄

  5. shifters but i also love urban fantasy where we encounter lot of less usual paranormal creatures it’s always a treat

  6. I sort of love them all, because I love how each author puts their own spin on the universe they create, and it’s so very cool!
