People are drawn to me. Yes, they are usually a little unique. Sometimes, they are very weird, but that adds to the fun. I love being the center of attention. I think a part of it is because I can tell a good story. I started writing because the author, Mari Carr, suggested that I try all those years ago.

I am a good friend, generous and loyal. If you make it into my circle, then I’ve got your back through thick and thin. (Ask me about the RWA implosion—It was brutal, but I didn’t turn my back.)

However, if you cross me or one of mine—I’ll have plans for you. It might take years to execute, but one day, I will get even. When we go to war—you’ll want me by your side.

Leo’s love hard and generous with our goodwill. Ask any of the authors that I fangirl over. There was the time when I followed Charlaine Harris into the bathroom and waited outside the stall. In Houston, I yelled “Woodshed” at Alta Hensley because I’d read Gold in Locks on the flight. I will tell anyone and everyone how much I love your work.

Readers often wonder if we put “real” people in our books. After rereading the attributes of Leos, I realize I have put a great deal of my “Leo-ness” into Theodora Black, the FMC, in my Novus Pack Series. She is charismatic and has created a strong circle of friends. (See The Novus Pack World Series) She is loyal, and in a fight, you most definitely want her at your side. (In Trust Me—she immolated a coven and a wolf pack)

For Boys Behaving Badly – Secret Identities, I struggled to come up with an idea. It is a hard stretch for me to imagine being involved with someone who I know little about. However, Liz (FMC) is trying to put her shattered life back together. The person she is now is different than who she was before the bullet pierced her skull. She’s trying to find balance while wondering, “Why me?”

Deep down, she knows that if Darius (MMC) chooses not to share, he won’t. If she doesn’t like it, then she can go. He has more power in the relationship. Their mutual attraction feels real, but he could disappear tomorrow and might never find him.

I wanted the reader to look for clues and guess who or what Darius is. What really happened the night Liz was shot?
