Where Magic Begins: Elle James (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…Latifa Morrisette!
*~*~*

I have an office in my home and a new computer with two screens. I insisted I needed one. And I do. But…this is where I write. On my couch with the lounge chair option up!  That way my puppies get to sleep on the couch beside me, and I can keep an eye on them. Ideas come from all over. News reports, articles in magazines,  television shows, and brainstorming with my sister or other writing friends. I might take an idea from existing articles or shows, twist them, and take them a new direction. When I first began writing I didn’t think I’d have enough ideas to sustain a career. Now with over 150 books published, I don’t think I have enough lifetime left to write all the ideas that I have. Granted, I still need help brainstorming. So I go to my writer friends or my daughters or my sister to help me flush out those stories and ideas.

  1. The brewery recently launched a pale ale called Huruhuru, which they believed meant ‘feather’, as they wanted to show their beer was ‘light as a feather’

But it turns out, in Māori the word has multiple meanings and is also commonly known to mean ‘pubic hair’.

I thought this was funny. Pays to do your research. The brewery was Hell’s Basement in Canada

  2. The strangest murder mystery is one where a guy said his wife was killed after being attacked by an owl and falling down stairs.

  3. I haven’t read anything unusual lately but news stories about snakes being found in toilets always make me shudder and laugh. 🙂

  4. Some fisherman were along a deserted stretch of a river. They found a skeleton in a tent. Apparently the body had been there for years. The police are trying to identify the deceased.

  5. I saw a story about a woman finding a python in her washing machine… I am still curious how it managed to get in there.
