The Countdown Begins with Jo Davis!

The Countdown Begins with Jo Davis!

I’m beyond thrilled with this collection of stories! The official release is July 16th, so we’ll be counting down the days and giving you glimpses into each of the stories along the way! This first post is from the lady who opens the collection… ~DD

Hot Stuff

Smokin Hot FiremenWhen I was asked to write the forward for SMOKIN’ HOT FIREMEN, the new anthology coming in July from an impressive list of award-winning authors, I was thrilled. Anyone who knows me, knows that there are few subjects I’m more enthusiastic about than our first responders—particularly those hot firemen.

There’s just something about a fireman that speaks to me, and as a woman, gets the blood pumping in my veins. Makes my heart race. Maybe it’s their sense of honor and commitment to family. Or perhaps it’s because they’re strong enough to carry a person to safety during a raging fire, and smart enough to know exactly how to get the victim—and themselves—out alive. And their calming touch and gentle voices when a person is frightened.

Or it could be because firemen rush into danger when everyone else is rushing out.

jdTrial final coverAnd just maybe it’s because I have a “thing” for a man in his turnouts, that hard hat perched on top of his head, his square jaw shadowed underneath. I just love the way a fireman moves with confidence, his stride taking him toward his goal of rescuing someone in need. He’s sexy no matter his age or size. Being a hero is in his blood, and that makes him irresistible.

Firemen are so irresistible, in fact, that a group of talented authors couldn’t help but pen some tantalizing tales about our smokin’ hot men and their really large…fire engines. Prepare to have every one of your fireman fantasies sparked to life and ignited into roaring flames.

But be very sure you can stand the heat…
